Automated attendant allows your department’s callers to dial one number and receive a voice menu with programmable options.  Callers can hear a message saying, for example, “You have reached Boston University Communication Services.  Press 1 to request a repair, press 2 to request new service, press 3 for a staff directory,” and so on.  Calls are then automatically directed to the appropriate staff.

Automated attendant can help in situations where you need to:

  • streamline a high volume of redundant calls,
  • maximize low departmental resources, and/or
  • handle a high volume of calls that need to be transferred.

The automated attendant menu allows you to have nine options. If you require more than nine, you can have a sub-menu.

The installation cost is $50 for the main menu.
